Love gardening but have no space? Love getting dirt under your nails and the smell of warm tomatoes ripening on the vine. Desperate to do some good gardening but a compost bin on your balcony will clash with the christmas tree?
Well it’s warming up in every way and for those with a green thumb or a desire to dig, there’s plans afoot for Coogee’s very own community garden. There’s lots of activities over summer to help prepare for the Dolphin St site, near the Scout Hall.

Building our community garden from the ground up
9.30 am – 12.30
This is where the fun begins! OK sitting around talking about a garden and how we want to run it, isn’t quite the same as shoveling manure.. However we need to look at how we will work together to establish the garden from the ground up. We will have 2 sessions with community facilitator Fiona Campbell on how to run the garden, our vision and the processes behind us becoming an group with clods! This is important stuff as we are all in this together and have to figure out our common objectives..
