New growth

Rather than lying back and sipping mango dacquiris over the summer break, our intrepid virtual Coogee Community gardeners have been hard at work. However there’s no dirt under our fingernails just yet. In fact, there’s barely a shovel in sight as we sweat over our Plan of Management and preparations for the DA for our proposed site on Dolphin St.

Our Plan of Management is the first step towards deciding how to run the garden and our group. Issues that will be discussed include community structure, plot allocation, garden philosophy, workshops, and membership.

For those anxious to see dirt, a pocket garden is emerging behind the Scout Hall near the corner of Mountain and Dolphin Streets. Keep an eye out for our forthcoming working bees.
